1828 Half Cent, 1934 Union Pacific Token

    Hiya!
Got out with Allan (of pine tree shilling fame),
    Scott (Mr. Higley),
Merc (3 Silver halves in one hunt),
and Jason (don't really know him but found the most targets today).
    Thanks for the invite Scott

I've been to this field a few years ago when the stubble was too high. Now the stubble is detectable. This field will give up lots more if they ever cut it down to the ground.
My take was 3 spoon bowls, some other stuff I left in the car , 1828 Half Cent (nothing like Daddydigger's), and a 1934 Union Pacific token.

I don't think the half cent can be cleaned anymore.

Anyone have tips on cleaning aluminum?
    Thanks, Drew

While I wouldn't mind finding an old coin, I do like the railroad token.

Nice digs Drew. My first copper ever was a Half Cent. Haven't found another since. You can get aluminum jelly at the hardware store. It works.

Drew I find a SOS pad does a great job on the aluminum tokens. Nice finds!

Outstanding Drew! That site sounds like one to keep after whenever conditions permit.
I like the token, but the Half Cent is something that I'd walk over piles of tokens for. And you guys found two of them!

Drew, you and your spoons. Lol. Congrats on the finds. I thought it was only you and Scott. UP hasn't had commuter train service since 1971. The token is aluminum.
