parking lot preparation yields old coins

I was able to spend a few hours detecting an old parking lot prior to it being reprocessed into a bigger and better parking lot. The area was apx. 12 X 40 feet and gave up quite the coinage. The trifecta of nickles...was great, but the greatest love for me was the two Indian head pennies.

Beautiful coins. It seems that prior parking lot helped preserve the coins for you. I like them all

So true, timing is EVERYTHING! Especially for parking lots and sprinkler systems! Two of my favorite times to get my Minelab swinging!

Way to go! A lot of people don't realize how good those old parking lots can be when they tear up the blacktop. I searched on last year and came up with my first 2 reale as well as 2 large cents. Congrats!
