My son had his first GOLD & SILVER hunt ! And what a GOLD it is !

My son Carson and I got out last night for an after dinner hunt . We hunted one of our old stand by schools . He was really hoping for gold , and WOW did he find GOLD ! I was digging up one of the four rings I found when I look up and he is walking over and saying , DAD I HAVE GOLD ! I went over to the hole and couldn't believe what I saw , GOLD ! It looks to be a women's broach and tested 14K . It has a huge amethyst stone and all of the stones around it are missing . He hasn't stopped looking at it . Then I found a small silver ring and two more junk rings , bringing my ring total to #51 - #54 . Then as we were getting ready to leave Carson got a nice +78 at 3 inches , silver ring . It was one great hunt for sure !

Wow nice finds. Being gold, I would think that stone is Amethyst and not glass. I would have a jeweler look it over. Being that big and hopefully of great quality, that stone may be worth something. Super hunt!! Carson beat you that day

I thought the same thing about the stone , must be real . I believe he will start to beat me more often . His 14 year old knees are much better than my 46 year old ones !
