Hello everyone,
I am 38 and live in south central Kentucky. I just got my first metal detector (Garrett ACE 350)Thursday. I have practiced in the yard for 2 days trying to get the hang of it. I found mostly newer coins, but pulled out one wheat penny from the yard. My family and I went on our first hunt Saturday. We went to a site where my wife's Great Grandfather built a house. The family thinks the house was built over 100 years ago. The house has been torn down for a while now. We had a great time digging around where the house used to be. I think my wife and kids are hooked as much as I am. I see another purchase in our near future. Here are the pics of our finds that day.
