    Five Days Off Was Enough!!

I'm blessed to be able to swing most days for an hour or so. So being unable to get out for five days made me crazy Got out for 90min yesterday and about the same today.

    The goods-
6 1940s wheat pennies in one hole.
    Large cent.
    Eagle cuff button.
2 keg taps, hundreds of yards apart
2 oval thingies in one hole (eyes of the face)

Nice set of finds there, and sympathize on the itch to get out. I find it amazing that even after a long hunt without much to write home about, I still find myself itching to get back out within 48 hours. Nice President suspender clip/buckle as well. You can do a quick Google on them and learn more. Here's a quick link...scroll down to the year 1881 (http://www.shirleyhistory.org/timeline.htm). The company originated in Shirley, MA and some of their buckles are actually worth some $$.

You don't get out for 5 days Drew and you go crazy ?? I think you have it pretty good there my friend. When you are up to a month between hunts, then you can complain about your sanity . A copper, tap, eagle button, nice bunch of finds! Those oval thingies are a mystery. Are they solid or do they fit over something?
Oldest find: 5,000 year old copper spearhead
Oldest coin: 1699 William III halfpenny
Purdiest coin: 1832 Capped Bust quarter
