The 1st of June Produces the 1st Silver of June

Alec and I went out for a few hours on Sunday. We started out hitting a couple parks that we have never been to before. All we found were Three wheats, some clad & a couple of nice tokens. Both about the size of a half dollar. Just before we were going to get on the interstate to head home, we saw a Veterans park on the main drag. We both figured it has been hunted to death due to it's location. But what the heck let's give it a 1/2 hour and see. Well, about a half hour in Alec said Dad come here We got our first Silver today. He waited until I got to him, then dug a nice 1945 Washington Quarter. There was no doubt in his mind what he had.

The first token is a 1914 KNIGHTS of PYTHIUS 50th Anniversary Medallion / Token

Both tokens are really cool. It's nice to start the month of with a silver, especially a quarter.
