Iron Shoe Buckle & Odds & Ends

I've been continuing to hit some areas that I've wanted to hit for some time now. Most of these areas really haven't produced, but hey I gotta say & least I tried.

Getting a bit warmer now & am really glad I bought that camel pack. Sure beats taking off the backpack & having to pull out my water bottles.

There's some nice stuff there. What kind of medallion is that?

Nice assortment of items. Neat medallion. Has the CT Seal on it from what I can tell. Sigillum Republica Connecticutensis. Any idea what it commemorated?

Thanks Guys! The medallion is the CT State Seal. It was once 14K Gold Plated. I'm guessing it's from the 1930's. Saw several NY State ones over on ebay but no CT's. Tried googling a bunch of different ideas but still couldn't find out any info on it.

Still a bit confused what the teardrop item is. Also guessing that Silver looking thing came off a carriage or sleigh.

Yeah, that pin looks 1930s to me too. Translates to "Append (add) the republic of CT?" Waaa? I've also yet to find an iron shoe buckle... nice looking dandy too.

It must have had a silver finish to it as it rang up pretty clean for being iron. When I brushed it I also saw some silver flakes. Wonder how old the iron ones are.

The dandy was the best find. Was workin the hole & there was a nice hollow at the bottom where the foundation had partially collapsed, so I stick the coil in & got a good signal. Was expecting to get a copper but was just as pleased to see the design.
