Hello all! I am from west central Wisconsin, I have been detecting over 25 years! A lot of good information on this site!
Welcome from Illinois!
Glad you joined the forum, schooney! I bet you've found lots of goodies in 25 years. I was just up in southern Wisconsin for some detecting this past weekend. I detected some in Black River Falls a few years ago but didn't find much. The soil up there is so sandy and loose. Easy digging, but I kept wondering if the old coins had sunk too deep to be detected. I also detected in Baraboo last year, didn't find much then either.
Nice to have someone with your years of experience here on the forum. We are looking forward to your participation. Best of luck and happy hunting!
Tony

Hey Tony, I hunted the old brewery in Black River a month ago! We had permission from the owner, We didn't find much at all! full of nails and trash, a lot of fill was hauled in at one time. on the way home I stopped at a park and pulled over 30 quarters one being a 1909 Barber! I swing a V3i, AT Pro and tomorrow I will take delivery of a DFX!Last week I hunted a street tear-up and pulled a 1900 Barber Quarter also, Saturday I found a real nice 43 Mercury and a Captain Midnight Medallion from 1940.
