    New Digger Central IL

    Hi all

Wanted to post a message after reading the forums from the shadows for the last month. Been detecting for about 3 weeks with an Ace 250 w/ 8x5 SEF coil. I am finding the research is just as fun as actually swinging the detector. Still not found anything beyond trash and clad, but that isn't going to stop me. Hope to see some of you around!

    Welcome to the forum!

Glad you came out of the shadows!

Lots of good people and useful information here. Like you, I enjoy the research as much as the finds. A person can learn a lot about the history of their surrounding towns.

Best of luck, and keep us updated on your progress!

Welcome from Washington state. Every target helps to familiarize with your machine so don't worry about trash and clad. The clad is still spendable!

I'm outside Bloomington/Normal so pretty close to as central as I can get in IL. I just need to find parks were Tony hasn't already got all the goodies out of.
