    Hot day relic hunting

It was definitely hot and muggy at today's Pequot hunt. I beefed up the settings on the GPX a bit and it showed. Found some really tiny brass scraps in the area that a point was found previously, along with other brass pieces. This may have been a spot where some production of points took place, although probably not for very long. Also found some kind of lead/pewter button? and 9 more musket balls. A couple of odds and ends complete the non ferrous keepers. Getting tired of digging steel birdshot though Lots of 22's, a couple more shot gun shells and of course many, many nails Good day in the sun.

Each of these artifacts can potentially provide a valuable piece of the puzzle. Way to endure the heat and humidity to save these relics, George!

    Keep up the good work!
