    Unknown brass piece

    Found this at a mid 1800's to early 1900's site. It's a brass cap that goes over a wooden shaft of some sort. Not sure what the bracket sticking out of it is ??







    I was thinking horse hardware but can't find a match.

    Nope Dan, no sign of wear to speak of. Also no dents like you see in some of the tool handle caps or carriage arm caps.
