    First Gold Find

I was hunting at local park last Wednesday. In a grassy area near the entrance to a Men's Room the detector picked a up a target with a 11 VDI. Tone ID was high and depth was about 2 inches. The DFX showed a foil/ring. This park is very trashy and being near the concession stand I thought nope not worth the time to dig. Then changed my mind and dug this men's wedding band.

I think this was from Zale's. I don't remember the karat rating but about 2 or 3 years ago I was looking at a bunch of rings and this was a possibility for a choice to get. Needless to say I didn't end up buying any. Congrats on digging it.

It shows as 14K, and is white gold. It was one of those times when you couldn't believe your eyes. The hole was empty and there sticking out the plug was the back of the ring.
