    Hello

    Hi guys
my name is Arthur and I live in England. I am 15 years old and have been detecting for about 6 years . I have made some really interesting finds hear in the uk including roman brooches, medieval silver coins ect. but in four days I am going on holiday to North Carolina (near Bryson city) and was wondering what the laws about metal detecting there where. in England you can only detect on the beach or private land the land owner has given you permission to go on. is it the same on your side of the Atlantic?

    regards Arthur

Welcome to the forum Arthur , you must have some nice relics and coins in that amount of detecting time . Care to show us some of your favorites?? Each of our states can have their own set of local laws plus any federal laws , you could talk to any members here from that state or try contacting a metal detecting club specific to North Carolina , i'm sure there are a couple . If you need any help locating them just ask and I will find a few links for you. I wish you safe travel and hope you can meet up with a member or two from the forum.
