    nice stubble hunt yesterday

went out yesterday on a stubble field and only two signals in I got a good signal, put the spade in the ground and pulled out a hammered silver it is an Elizabeth 1st groat (four pence) from the 15 hundreds. after that didn't find much except from one grotty roman. but over all it was a great day .

Welcome to the forum and nice coins! Pretty smart of you to use an American dime for size reference instead of a pence or whatever! We Americans are insanely jealous that we cannot find coins that old here. Best wishes and HH, Dave.

Beautiful OLD silver coin... it's amazing what people on the other side of the pond find. You'll be hearing that a lot, just by the way...

Thanks for posting these great finds. Most of us over here would kill to find a hammered silver from the 1500's. Waiting for your "best finds" thread so that I can get really jealous.
