Can someone tell me the age of this button?

I found this great seal button at a site I just got permission to hunt. I don't think it is really old but I've been wrong before. lol The button is a larger size, like what would go on a long winter coat and not a uniform jacket. The only reason I ask is the hunt area had several homes and a grist mill that were gone by 1874. All my other finds there have been appropriate for the age of the site but this button seems too new.

The thicker neck on the eagle makes me think WWII.
