    Tony Two-Cent's 2014 Year-in-Review

I really enjoyed metal detecting this past year. I made some new hunting buddies and found some bucket list coins. I am thankful that my health and the weather here in Illinois allows me to go detecting often.

So if you will forgive my shameless self indulgence I would like to share a summary of my finds from 2014.

I was happy to finally find a US large cent with my E-Trac. I found 2 of them in 2014.

I found 62 Indian Head Cents including my first ever 1877:

I found these 4 Indian Heads in with my Wheat Cents as I was tumbling them today. I guess I need to get my eyes checked.

468 Wheat Cents sorted by decade. (Not a very good photo.)

I found this 1864 Two Cent Piece on September 20:

    2 Barber Quarters:

1 Standing Liberty Quarter and 24 Silver Washington Quarters (Which I forgot to photograph.)

    5 Walking Liberty Half Dollars:

Here are all of the silver coins I found in 2014:

    Tokens:

Silver jewelry and 1 piece of gold:

    Costume jewelry:

    Buttons:

    Buckles:

    Dog Tags:

    Bells:

    Watches and watch parts:

    Toy Guns:

    Toy Cars:

    Spoons:

Thimbles: (Maybe someday I will find a nice one!)

    Cub Scout items:

Harmonica, accordion, pump organ and squeezebox reeds:

    Coal Company Scatter tags:

    Lead Bag Seals:

    Medallions:

    Militaria:

Tony, is there anything left in Illinois?? Very impressive grouping of coins, your total silver picture is great. Pretty sure you got more IH's this year than I do in my career . By the way did you count the one in your token picture?

You should be very proud of your finds and please do not consider your sharing them with us as "shameless self indulgence".

I hope that your detecting in 2015 is as good if not better than 2014. Any thoughts on what state your going to....

What an incredible year Tony. Plenty of seated coinage as well (I'm still looking for my first). Great job on the relics and jewelry as well. I hope 2015 is even better for you. Once again, congrats on a fantastic year.

Very impressive presentation. I hope this year will be as good to you as 2014. BTW, some of the HotWheels in your pics are good finds. If you find any with red-stripe wheels in mint condition, call collect!!!! Happy New Year and may God bless you and yours.

    Hello Tony,

Those are some amazing finds!! You had a super year! I really like all the tokens, you guys in IL always seem to find a lot of them. The capped bust is a great find and a nice one to knock off the bucket list!

Were all these tokens found at the same site?
