Honey Island

Has anyone ever been to Honey Island near New Orleans? Had any luck/ or have any advice?

well it's not near where i'm from...but its near where i am located right now lol. i live about 15 minutes from the honey island swamps, but have never detected there , or anywhere near . since coming to this area a few months back i've mainly hunted parks, schools, and a few empty lots in the old section of town here.
In my opinion, hunting these low lying areas with the ace 250 just wont work. the periodic flooding here plus the hurricanes have silted up most areas that the 250 cant reach deep enough to hit the old goodies. An e-trac might work tho .
