Thread: Barber Half - 10 Silver Day!

Barber Half - 10 Silver Day!

Had an amazing day of hunting hitting up some very productive home sites. It just blew me away!

The 2 indians are 1883 and 1890 (the 1883 indian was right next to the toasted shield nickel and possibly a spill)

Special hunt because until today my oldest indian was 1889.

I went nuts when I hit the barber half! It was in the last site of the day and there were VERY few targets. Because of this I thought I had hit a big trash target as it was only an inch down by the base of a tree.

Full video up on my YT channel.

on a fantastic hunt. You killed it with all those silvers. I'm glad you can get out this time if year. We're still buried in snow here in Illinois.
Watching your video makes me want spring here even sooner. Great Job.

What an amazing day! I'd go back to the 1870 house you hit and dig every last non-ferrous signal. There's gotta be some neat relics within the iron. congrats on a stellar hunt, I have yet to find a barber half.

Sweet. Twice this summer I was around while a barber half came out of the ground but neither time was it me. I found a few good hits right near trees.

You had an incredible day, JD, but that Barber Half is the crown jewel! I have never found a half dollar from the 1800s. Super jealous!

The shield nickel is a neat find too. Congrats on finding your oldest Indian Head to date as well.

Great hunt JD. Love the barber. Never found a silver half. Spring still 6 weeks away up here in northern New England...patience beginning to wear thin.
