    Made a new beach shovel

I've been seeing videos of guys using all plastic grain shovels with holes drilled in them on the beach. They sell for $80 on ebay! I made this one out of an emergency snow shovel from my car trunk. I reshaped the blade, drilled some holes, and attached an old wooden shovel handle with a hardwood peg.
I gave it a try today on a little beach around a pond in our metro parks. It worked great! No bending over.
No great finds. Just a little pocket change an fishing tackle. But the shovel worked great. I can't wait to use it in the Outer Banks this june!

From the land of the Bluenose.....life is a beach at least till the tide comes in and the Bud is all gone. Swish and dig at the drop of a dime!
