Couple of Hunts /14 K Ring, Barber, SLQ, V, Indians, Rosie & a TV

Friday after work we hit a house from 1895. Alec dug an RCA TV token and I dug a 1952 Rosie.
Saturday, no hunt, my granddaughters birthday party.
Sunday, we met up with Zrickid for another day of door knocking. my first coin of the day was 1902 Indian. my second find was an 1898 Indian. I didn't get any Silver today, But I did manage some GOLD. I got a 12-35 on the E-trac and was hoping for another Indian, but when I got down to the target, I saw a beautiful 14 K gold ring. MY FIRST.

Alec started his day with a 1905 Barber Dime. 5 minutes later he dug a 1912-D "V" Nickel in pretty nice shape. A little later, he dug a 1930 SLQ. He had an awesome day. Together, we dug 21 Wheats.

Lots of really nice finds for both of you! That 14K ring is huge! What a terrific find! I'm sure the fact that it's extra wide made it ring up higher than a gold ring normally would. Very cool!

And Alec had a great day as well! It is unusual to find a 1912 V Nickel with a mint mark. Now you will have to look for a 1912-S.

And an SLQ with a legible date is always a thrill to find!

    Lifetime totals:
10 Large Cents, 415 Indian Heads, 2 Two Cent Pieces, 1 Capped Bust Half Dime, 1 Seated Half Dime, 10 Shield Nickels, 68 V Nickels, 124 Buffalo Nickels, 31 War Nickels, 16 Seated Dimes, 131 Barber Dimes, 405 Mercury Dimes, 249 Rosies, 4 Seated Quarters, 18 Barber Quarters, 20 Standing Liberty Quarters, 89 Silver Washingtons, 1 Seated Half, 3 Barber Halves, 16 Walking Liberty Halves

Nice V, IH and Slq. I intend to try ketchup/worcester sauce one of these days on a 1940 nickel. Thats the last year of the type 2's, you got and obvi good enough shape it has a date.

Nice finds Don! You and Alex had some great finds. BTW, I have used worchester sauce on old nickels I dug and they clean up pretty good! The ring is SWEET! Big hunk of gold for sure. Best wishes and HH, Dave.
