    Found this button at a old area where there were houses at and before 1883 It has leaves at the bottom and 2 flowers at to. The back is complete with ring but cannot make out makers mark around button back. The are hat at least 6 houses on the street. It is near the river and was wiped out in 1913 and 1937 flood. There were also riverboat landing just few blocks away. Also found a large axe, oil lantern piece, and a thimble

    looks like what are commonly called flower buttons, normally they date to the mid 1800s. I'd like to see the back to confirm but from the looks of it it's old! congrats!

    It looks like a Benedict & Burnham button and it dates from 1835-1840 here is one of mine.
