    My first pocket knife,,

A friend just bought an old house and let me detect it this weekend. The home was not there in the 1949 aerial photo on Historic Aerials, so I wasn't too hopeful for old coins. I found a bunch of 60's and newer coins ( no silver ), but really have only cherry picked it at this point. At the end of the front walkway, I did find an old pocket knife and a plated hair beret. It looked to me like the spot would have been where folks originally parked to enter the home. In the backyard I also found Bella's dog tag. That makes 3 modern dog tags for me this year.

It looks like a swiss army style knife with three rivets, just missing the side covers. I kinda commend on tenacity to go to newer spots. You still managed something that way. My house is just old enough to possibly have silver but the entire street is no older than the 30's. However, I do know someone from high school who's parent's own an 1800 house next to a 1 room school house which is now a private residence. Idk why I haven't made it there to ask a permission yet.

Congrats on the knife. It looks quite a bit like the first one I found last year.
