Another photo. I actually broke it trying to bend it straight. at the base of the spoon. It was all bent up and had to straighten the spoon end it was folded over It is a lot better now except the break.

Seeing this made me curious to look up what fountain square was. I guess the fountain was in the opening credits on WKRP. I love the design on the handle. Nice job

I believe it is from the Watson Silver Company. I am not sure but am guessing it is from the around 1900-1912.

Nice spoon. To me this looks like one of those novelty spoons you get at a gift shop for display to show where you visited. Even tho the bowl is a bit broke, at least it was still one whole piece.

What is funny that the area I found it in is our local park. It used to have streets and over 15 homes and businesses in the 1800s. It was wiped out in 1913 and 1937 flood. Nobody has taken the time to research and detect this area. It is in he fields away from the park. My Buddy went one day with me and he found a 1853 quarter. He was a believer after that find. It was on his bucket list of coins. He has found over a 100 silvers last year . However, research (mine) gave him the find he was looking for. I like the quality of the finds better than the quantity I detected about 5 hours just to find that one spoon. Big areas I print up and take together maps of streets and homes from 1883 maps and go from there. I also go over areas more than once. I use my etrac and F75ld2. More time than money.
