First Post here - French Colonial, Rev War & 1812 Buttons!

I recently had a guest in town and we did some digging, and for it being the Summer and very tough to find available fields here, we killed it! Even I'm surprised what we came up with, but just goes to show if you make the effort it can happen.

There was many misc. other finds including coins, but pale in comparison to our button finds.

    Great looking forum btw!

    They are....

5 French Colonial Marine buttons. (His 3 on top, my two on the bottom)

1812 era British Royal Navy mail - packet service. A very uncommon button. (His find)

War of 1812 British General Service Officer button. (my find)

4 Rev War Loyalist King's American Regiment Officer buttons. (First 2 his, 2nd 2 mine)

    Was some great days digging!

Great finds. Those fields can really be great producers with a little research.
