    Heels or cleats ?

I have now found two of these things. The first one with the lines on it I found on an old farm. Today I found the heart shaped one. What were they used for? How old are they? Thanks for looking.

Yep, nice heel plates. I found a very similar heart shaped one earlier this summer. Congrats!

....No time period was included, Dan. . Roughly CW period. Some are just post war. I'd take a guess the one with the lines are up to 1900.

Thanks Mango, I was looking for a time period....Now I`ve learned more about these heel plates, and what they might be used as, was a persons mark.
