A Couple More Hunts This Week / Another Two Center & Button

Wednesday, I went out after work and hit a house from the 20s. I was there about an hour and was able to dig 1957 Washington, a 1950 Rosie and a 1944 Merc.
Saturday, I went to a town not far from home that I have never detected before. I spent several hours there and only found a few wheats and a 1907 Indian. I decided to drive about 15 miles south to the next small town. The first house I stopped at gave me a yes. The first good target I dug, scored me a nice old button. The front has an eagle and the back says" New York City Button Works". It' a little smaller than a Half Dollar. Once again, If anyone knows what kind of button this is, please let me know. The second target I dug was a 1944 Washington. I also dug 17 Wheats at this house.
As I was driving around, I noticed a man cutting the lawn of a large old house. I stopped and talked to him for a few minutes and got a very nice Yes. There wasn't a lot of signals, but about a half hour into the hunt I got a deep 12-41. I dug down around 9 inches thinking I was going to pull out an older Wheatie. But then I see this dirt caked disk at the bottom of the hole. When I pulled it out, I knew immediately that it was an odd diameter. I had an idea what it might be and said to my self "Please don't be a token" and when I rubbed it and saw the green, I knew What I had. It was a very nice 1864 Two Cent piece.
Needles to say, IT MADE MY DAY

Once again GREAT finds Don! Another 2 cent for your collection too. The button is a US Army "Great Seal" button. It was first issued in 1903 and is still issued today. My guess is WW2 or later.

Nice hunt Don and congrats on the 2 center. They do not show up that often so I know how that would make your day, WTG.
