I got a new job in March and have been commuting almost an hour and a half each way since then. Last week we finally got moved to a new house - commute now is 15 minutes. Which means...more time for metal detecting (once the weather improves, that is). Drier climate, too, which I hope means iron relics last longer in the dirt. The area is thick with old homesteads, wagon roads, stage roads, abandoned railroad beds, etc., so really looking forward to spring.
Let the unpacking begin. Ugh.

Long commutes just to go to work are the worst, congrats on the new "castle" and the acquired more swing time . you may have cut your stress levels in half
