Does anyone have any operational tips for the ATpro ? I just got one and am not having much luck with it.

start in standard coin and practice listening to the different tones then dig and see what it is. practice , practice , practice
It really does get better with practice. 3 or 4 months of steady use and you'll be a pro. Youtube is your friend too,, lots of good stuff on the AT Pro there.

Bam,
I bought my AT Pro 4 months ago. Took me a good 3 months of 6 hours/week to figure it out. I am still learning pro mode for it is different. Different soils/sand seem to yield different signals as well. I suggest sticking to the same type of ground to start. Once you get comfortable with that, then try others. What helped me was starting in Standard mode and when I got a signal, switched to Pro Mode to hear the difference. Then I dug the target. Garrett also has great videos, just do a search on YouTube and watch all the videos or the videos that came with the equipment. Practice makes perfect. Test garden helps too!
Garrett AT Pro, Garrett Waterproof Pinpointer, CTX3030 with 6,11,17" coils.
Thank you, I will try both.
