    Noob from NC

    Hello forum. Another noob here.

I'm a middle aged male from Durham County, NC. My outdoor hobbies are bass and dirt fishing. Indoors I work on my family genealogy and research local history.

I live on property that was a working farm for about a 100 years. My sister gave me an old Bounty Hunter that she had and I've been swinging it off and on for a couple of years. I've dug countless plow parts and canning jar lids in my backyard.

I gave myself a Fisher F2 for Christmas and have started to learn it but I'm still a novice.

My most interesting find to date is a Guilford point found in my backyard. Yeppers, it isn't even metal but the signal I was getting stopped once I popped it out of the hole so I figure it wanted to be found. There were witnesses. lol

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a hunt this coming weekend. The place I'm going to is believed to have been a training ground for the NC Junior Reserves (among other things) during the Civil War so I'm hoping for a few artifacts.

    HH all.
