Sunday Hunt In A Rural Town / Silvers & an Indian

Alec and i got out for a few hours today. We started out at an old park and found absolutely nothing. I noticed a gentleman across the street in his driveway, so I walked over to talk to him. He informed me that there always guys out in the park detecting and that he wasn't surprised that we got skunked. I asked him if anyone ever asked to detect his lawn ( 1880 house). He told me No. SOO, I asked and he said sure go ahead.

I wasn't on the lawn more than 30 seconds and I get a nice 12-45 at about 6 inches. I dug the plug and pulled out a 1905 Barber dime. Unfortunately, that was it for me except for a few wheats.

Alec did a little better, his first good signal was a 1906 Indian. Then he tells me he has a deep silver. He dug his plug and pulled out a very nice 1904 barber dime. Just a little bit later he dug a piece of jewelry with a very high polished stone on it. I think it's a cuff link, but I'm not sure. Anyway, he finished up with a nice 1919 Merc and a marble.

We hit one more house and all I got was a dog tag.
It was another great day hunting with my son.
    Thanks for looking.

Nice finds Don and Al! Glad to see you found some barbers and indians. Is that dog tag dated 2016? I have never seen one found that was current year (and it's only April). Best wishes and HH, Dave.
