Hello from So. NH....new to detecting & loving it!!

Well.....after wanting to try detecting for a long time, I finally decided to get a "starter" metal detector (2nd hand off of Craigslist).
I figured I would spend some time in my backyard getting used to the detector. I've only spent maybe a total of 15-20 hours detecting over the last 2 weeks or so and I'm already addicted!!
I am amazed at how much I have found just in my own back-yard and in the woods behind my house.

Here are just a few of the more interesting items that I've found:

    1. ox-shoe
    2. antique men's onyx ring
    3. 3 early 20th century shot gun shells (1902-1910)
    4. old hunting knife
    5. a lot of coins (nothing very old - only 1 wheat cent).

I can't wait to take it out on the road.

Looks like you have a wonderful yard there! Oxshoe means old!
(yeah yeah I know I'm old, thought I'd beat them to the joke )
You're going to get some old items! I look forward to seeing what you dig outta there! Welcome to the group!!
