All great finds! I agree many ignore the low tones since that usually equates to trash on most hunts. Another is that many machines can't see a good target if there's iron even anywhere near. Masked targets can be difficult with even the best machines especially if the user is inexperienced or doesn't know how to use their machine to its fullest capabilities.

Nice finds. Looks like a piece of a harmonica there.
I bought my machine just for iron and believe it or not the first day I got it I went and jumped in the thickest iron possible and thats where I learned to use it.Then I had to learn to use it away from the iron later on.lol Ive been testing machines in my test garden with iron and you are correct some are better than others. When I go to a site thats been hit I ask where is the thickest iron and thats where I start always seems to give up a goodie or 2 the majority of the time. thats a nice coin in your avatar!

Nice designed tombac. Those aren't easy to come by.

Good work . Paying to metal detect always rubs me wrong.
I have been to only 1 paid hunt and it was all about coins. Was it coins that the group was looking for???
By the way, I will not attend another paid hunt.

What is meant by a "paid hunt?" How many people were there? Good looking button!
