    Friend's First Hunt

I have a friend who is really interested in bottle digging. Today I took him to some of my sites that have bottle dumps. Sadly, they were modern bottles. He did find a 1930s license plate at our first stop. At our 3rd site (I'm apparently not good at finding bottle dumps ) he decided to join me in some metal detecting. I loaned him my other T2 and he found a musket ball and a tombac on his first try detecting!!! Both were dug on a POUNDED cellar hole lip! I think he might become addicted
I managed a 1910 V nickel, an 1893 s Barber quarter, a skeleton key, and MY FIRST MARBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I should have taken a solo picture of the marble so it could be put on the banner
Had a great time with my friend and was thrilled he found stuff on his 1st hunt!!
EDIT- The key is a Wilson Bohannan lock key.

That marble is beyond description Drew and certainly banner worthy. I took the liberty to make a banner suitable photo of it. Cool key too. You guys did alright for a pounded site.

That key looks like a railroad switch key. Is there any writing on it?

Yeah Tony, it says, "Wilson Bohannan Brooklyn." Looks like you nailed it! What were railroad locks used for?

No response to my email Drew. If I see a club meeting or a race, I'll stop in and inquire.
