Here is a sampling of my finds over the last couple of months. The highlight was a beautiful Seated dime....my first and only of the year. Got a dateless William III. Also had an odd spill containing three $1 dollar coins...unusual. Found a WW II Navy whistle and beautiful 2 piece Coast Guard button in the same location. Thanks Drew. So I read that those smaller iron bells were used for sheep and goats etc. They are quite rusty but possibly still old. I should have put something in the pic as a size reference. Nice finds. I was questioning if there was a date on that whistle or not. Just looks like the third digit was scratched. WWII and 1944 was what I was thinking.
Future goals: Capped bust coin, Flowing hair LC, Classic head LC, VT copper, MA copper, Pistareen, Two-cent pc, SLQ, GW inaugural button, Excelsior button, Civil war token, and a gold ring.
Thanks. Yeah...hard to see but it says USN 1944. Most of it is actually plastic but it must have some metal because it gave a signal.
