Large Cent and a Barber Quarter today

Me and my new detecting buddy returned to the large site from the 1850s that we have hunted a few times. This site has been open to detectorists for decades and finds are very sparse, nevertheless I managed to find a Large Cent and a barber Quarter today.

The Large Cent is really beat, it has a large hole in the middle of it and I can't make out the type or date.

I found the 1904 Barber Quarter as I was about to quit for the day about 50 feet from the truck.

It was a short 1 1/2 hour hunt but the weather was perfect.

Nice finds Tony. We need to send a box of washers back in time so they stop turning large cents into washers.WD

Nice find, Tony. Looks more like a washer than a coin. Lol. Crazy when you say slim pickin's and a barber quarter can come up. I say slim pickin's when only a button comes up.
Future goals: Capped bust coin, Flowing hair LC, Classic head LC, VT copper, MA copper, Pistareen, Two-cent pc, SLQ, GW inaugural button, Excelsior button, Civil war token, and a gold ring.

A sliver of silver always makes for a good day....which are numbered due to upcoming old man winter. Take care.
