    Couple of Hunts with RobW

Got out for a couple of hunts with RobW. Thanksgiving day morning we went to a field and Rob managed some wheats and I got the 1912 Barber dime.

Today we went back to a park that we had done about 3 years ago. Back then I had gotten a 1884 Canadian dime and last week Rob got himself a 18-- Canadian dime. Also back then Rob had gotten a FD button and now today I got one......weird huh...Back mark says Scoville & Co Waterbury.

Also got myself a nice musket ball and a very early wheat but can't quite get the date yet.

It was good to get out with Rob again and hopefully we will do it again shortly.

Thanks for reading and HH everyone.

Nice finds Al. That barber was right near some iron, I see. Good job sniffing it out. I can see what you mean on that penny being cruddy. It looks like a '10 - teens possibly. Bet RobW likes to know he is missed. Last time was when we all got out with that crazy English Bloke?
Future goals: Capped bust coin, Flowing hair LC, Classic head LC, VT copper, MA copper, Pistareen, Two-cent pc, SLQ, GW inaugural button, Excelsior button, Civil war token, and a gold ring.

Very nice assortment of finds Al! Really love that FD button and congrats on some more old silver. Always nice to get out with old friends. My guess on the wheat is a 1916. Looks like a 1 on the 3rd digit and perhaps the left side of a six on the last. HH!

Jim, yes I was thinking the same about that silver. I think that Rob has only gotten out 4 times this year...ug

John, thanks for the input on the wheat. I need 9 more coins over 100 yrs old to beat last years total and time is running out. I was thinking that the wheat was old enough but I can't confirm it so I can't count it. There is no complaining on my part with the coins that I have gotten this year though.
