    Whatzit Buckle...1911 V Nickle, '17,'24 wheats

    Got out today and dug lots of targets. Does anyone remember it being 71 degrees on Feb 24 in the middle of New England? There is still snow in the shade but lots of digging area now. The buckle looks to be a sash buckle because the pin is through the long way and it looks like a pressed, light duty item...but it has a tongue and chape. Anybody know what this was used for? Thanks!!
