I have been trying to get permission at a house that was owned by a judge back in the early 1900's. Well today was the day! I only managed to cover a small portion of the front yard but did end up some interesting finds. My favorite find of the day was the Red Ryder Lucky Coin. After a little research I learned that it was put out by JC Penny's back in the 1940's as a promotion. Didn't find any silver that I was really hoping for crying01 but did manage an 1881 IH along with 7 Wheats, the oldest being 1910. I have been finding a lot of harmonica parts this year and managed to find my second complete one for the season. Found some watch parts to round out the day and the neat green reflective thingy. I have found several of these over the years usually in red and have wondered what they were for. My guess is that they are off old cars but I really don't know for sure.
