    Lead seal maybe?

I got permission to detect at a mid 1800s lighthouse and museum. Apparently someone has been hitting the site recently as I found fresh plugs. One such plug they missed the target and I got this lead piece. Any ID help appreciated. Thanks!

Interesting piece. But I haven't got a clue as to what it is.
But I don't think it's a lead seal. It looks like it could be a cap of some sort?
