2.5 hour hunt, a few keepers

About a 2.5 hour hunt. 1837 large cent which looks like it was used for target practice, 1919 wheat, a musket ball, 2 buttons and I'm not sure what the other thing is yet.

Nice finds for 2 1/2 hr. That barbell thing that you haven't IDed is something like a saddle strap rivet. The leather is just deteriorated. I have found a bunch, even in the leather. Fools you into thinking you are digging a good coin cuz its a small target with a good VDI. Interesting, wth were they trying to do to this LC? Maybe using it as a scrap piece ontop of which they drilled other LC for the string? Why didn't they just use a scrap piece of wood like I do when drilling holes? (There's no emoji for lack-of-smart). I think Drew or Sam found something like that LC with many holes similar. And it is strange how many of those 1919 wheats come up. Idr.. I dug something like 5 already.
Future goals: Capped bust coin, Flowing hair LC, Classic head LC, VT copper, MA copper, Pistareen, Two-cent pc, SLQ, GW inaugural button, Excelsior button, Civil war token, and a gold ring.
