    On the board for 2017!

Hey all. Been a while since I've been out.

Got out with Frank last sunday for an all day hunt. Went to a spot that has been hammered in the past but Frank & I had never been to before. We found the spot after a bit of wandering until I saw the remains of a small bridge crossing a stream. Followed the road right to the spot & we began our day.

I had to change to my 6x10 coil as there was a lot of emi in the area and was rewarded with my 1st copper of 17 right along the stone outline of the foundation. Although it's smooth I think I see some details but hard to say if that it's really details or just oxidation.

Anyhow I worked my way around the foundation and got the pewter handle right in the chimney pile. As I moved around the foundation I got another good hit & pulled up this button which had an amazing amount of the orig. fabric still on it. Now I've had thread remains on buttons before but never the coat fabric.

Had a great day and bought the HD battery as my orig. battery is not holding as much power like it did.

    HH,
    Roger

Love that button. I've found a lot with just bits of thread left on the shank, but never one with half a shirt still attached. Very cool find.

Great finds and the ground looked like good swinging territory (since the brush is not up yet). That is so cool that the cloth was still there on the back of that button! Best wishes and HH, Dave.
