Big silver (also medium and small)

Size: 126.7 KBI went looking for an old scout camp my friend said he used to go to, closed since 1985 or so, about 50 miles away in the woods of NW Ct. Well, somebody bought the land and put some cows on it so I had to go to Plan B (I didn't have a Plan B by the way)! A couple of miles down the road I saw a sign that directed me to a ball field that's been there since 1946. I gave it a shot and as usual there was nothing to be found in the ball field itself. So I went to the edges again and found the 46 Rosie, reswept the area and got a tremendous hit at 1". I was definitely shocked when the 34 Walker popped out 6" away from the Rosie. The 51 Washington was next to some old tree stumps in the deepest part of right field. The Rosie was my 100th silver coin and it took me 5 years to get it! All gravy now.

Congrats on getting your 100th silver! That walker was a nice reward for your efforts. Looks like you nicked one of the wheat cents though! LOL! Best wishes and HH, Dave.

Grats on three silvers Mike. I haven't had that many silver in one outing. Good you found a field nearby to hunt. That strawpenny got in a fight with a lawnmower. Buck is right, the earlier walkers are a little more scarce and a little more sough after.
Future goals: Capped bust coin, Flowing hair LC, Classic head LC, VT copper, MA copper, Pistareen, Two-cent pc, SLQ, GW inaugural button, Excelsior button, Civil war token, and a gold ring.
