Help with Button ID and age

I gave my friend a lead on a spot I have been hitting recently, since I would be out of town for a few days. This is a construction site so they move dirt around daily.

He found some good stuff including this button, can anyone help with an ID?

I'm back this afternoon so I'll be heading there when the workers are done for the day.

Wow, that is incredibly cool! It certainly looks old, doesn't it? What an interesting design on the front of the button!

Can you read what it says on the back?

Nice find. I would agree with DaddyDigger...turn of the century Chinese motif as it looks to me. Found a few unrelated items with similar patterns.

I also thought it had an oriental feel to it. Really cool!

    Tony,
Here is a picture of the back and of another similar button my friend found at the same spot. The back says - Eingetr Muster.

German for "Single pattern" , it looks from its construction and front design like an early 1900's pictorial button Darren . I mean it could be as early as the 1890's but I'm pretty confident its very early 1900's
