    Intersting little chape, copper, buttons

Hiked out to one of my favorite remote sites for some R&R and peace and quite.

Good signals from my detector interrupted my peace and quiet a few times. Managed an 1818 Matron. That is my most common LC vintage with 6.

Dug this nicely shaped chape. I am guessing it's likely from a knee buckle ?? I am hoping Bucklemeister Dan can ID it for me.

I was expecting ticks to be out in force but they weren't.

That's a great looking area Jeff pretty open and serene , I have a few sites like that and they are a real treat just to revisit . The buckle chape is to a knee buckle and speaking of common coins mine is the 1831 large cent as I have about 5 of them and for some strange reason all are in nice shape !. congrats

Can't beat that! Nice day at the office! I'm going to go see if I have 1831s. Edit- I have three of them, all in pretty good shape.

Half the fun of the hobby is the serenity and peace, diving into the past and the natural beauty. Great finds too.
