Hi all! I tried another small late 1800s park that apparently was pounded pretty hard. Its a tough place to detect because its loaded with bent nails, wire, etc. The first find took almost an hour, but started with a very nice 1945D Merc. Great to start with silver!
Not too far away I got a bouncy mid 10-30s at 8 inches. I was very surprised to see a very clean 1902 IH!
It took almost an hour to find my last 2 keepers, a 1918 and a 1947S wheat. Works for me! I also found some odd junker heart and a pretty cool old pin with a citrine and blue inlay.
Lastly, I found an odd piece that looks like it was nailed to something. It has what looks like a dog or pig snorting above a horn. Any ideas?
Not shown is the clad and a chunk of lead. The last pic was an eyeball find. Total time was about 3 hours.
Thanks for reading, GL&HH!
