Thankful for this hunt, best surface find and took a seat!

First good signal today was right on the surface figured it was a can boy was I surpised when this silver almost complete elgin pocket watch appeared! 🙃Started searching for the cover about a foot away got another great signal and got excited thinking i located the cover and out popped this sterling silver camp wonposet pendant research shows its a camp in Connecticut opened in 1906. About and hour later got a faint but good sounding signal out popped this little silver, thought it was a trime boy was I wrong got it home cleaned it up and its a 1838 seated half dime!! Has some pitting but in good shape the last item was this saint christopher pendant inscribed to EH from Bishop Choi, research shows Bishop Choi was a south korean bishop during the vietnam war and often traveled to japan and handed out these pendants to US soldiers. Happy thanksgiving and hh .

Wonderful finds! I love that pocket watch! Good job on the research. Interesting that the case is older than the watch. I guess they had a new watch mounted in an old case. I love the engraved initials on it!

The 1838 Half Dime is a terrific find also! It's rare for one that old to turn up.

I also really like the Camp Wonposet medallion! And it's silver! I love the design on it.

Those finds would look great on the banner if we had some better photos.

    Lifetime totals:
10 Large Cents, 415 Indian Heads, 2 Two Cent Pieces, 1 Capped Bust Half Dime, 1 Seated Half Dime, 10 Shield Nickels, 68 V Nickels, 124 Buffalo Nickels, 31 War Nickels, 16 Seated Dimes, 131 Barber Dimes, 405 Mercury Dimes, 249 Rosies, 4 Seated Quarters, 18 Barber Quarters, 20 Standing Liberty Quarters, 89 Silver Washingtons, 1 Seated Half, 3 Barber Halves, 16 Walking Liberty Halves
