Equinox, the first published field test

It looks like The Searcher Magazine will have the first published field test. The publisher stated that the digital copy will be available this Friday the 26th. http://www.thesearcher.co.uk/index.php

I'll do my own field test..... if they'd ever release them!!
I'm starting to think we're not going to have them before the England trip.

I agree! I ordered mine at the beginning of January so I am going to have to wait until March probably before I can field test it. I am excited though.

What puzzles me about the machine is why didn't Minelab name one of the modes, "Relic?" It doesn't make sense to me. Do you use "Park mode" for relics? Beach mode?

I'm certain the verdict will be in by the time they let me buy one. If this thing is a lemon it will be a HORRIBLE blow to their company....they've touted it pretty good.

I agree Drew. The hype has been intense. I have to laugh at the nasty arguments people are getting into on some of the other forums over the Equinox and it hasn't even been released yet ! Time will tell if it is the second coming, the real deal, or just another flash in the pan. It does sound promising, but we shall see.

Boy, I hope it's not. I preordered the last week of November. The suspense is killing me.

I only belong to this forum (it's the best as we all know!) but yesterday during some free time I decided to read some Equinox threads on a very big forum and the bashing and sarcasm was just too much!

Yeah, but I see mine on the bottom left!!! Actually, I wanted to pre-order one and was told they aren't taking anymore until they get the backlog out.

I read on the Minelab site somewhere that they are trying to fulfill all orders and ship them across February which gives me hope I will see mine by early March.

The manual is available too. I downloaded and read it yesterday...I am confident this new machine will be a very good one.

Looks like several more unwrapped pallets of them to the left.
