    First Month with the Nox

It's taking a while, but I'm getting used to the Nox.
The first pic is the first 4 hunts. 2 field sites, one abandon farm site and a 1800s fair grounds. A shield nickle, 63 FATTY, 2 IHCs, 13 Barber dime, a couple of Vs and a half dozen or so wheaties!
Eyeballed a nice bird point in one of the fields!
Yesterday a buddy and I tried a set of woods that is having some clearing done. I've had moderate success here in the past. Some nice coins and some rare coins have come out of these woods. Including a 1877 IHC!! I thought I might if had a rare coin on my hands when I realized I had dug a pretty sharp 1916 Merc dime! Unfortunately the D is worn of the back lol! It's a Philly mint. Soon dug another nice Merc. A 1942. On the out bound side of my loop through the woods I got a nice deep repeatable high tone on the Nox. Dug up another silver Dime!! I was pleasantly surprised! Being deeper than both of the Mercs I was hoping it was going to be a seated. I soon spotted the Barber head. It turned out to be a 1895 O. After showing Ted we started to say how we've never dug one of those. So I pulled out the handy dandy cell phone and Googled 1895 O Barber dime.... Whoa!!!

    Thanks for lookin!

Dang Tim, That's a good haul. Seems like you guys waited until I left the state and then started pulling amazing coins! That 1916 merc sure has a weird looking rim. Congrats on the early shield nickel and the 1895-O dime. Sweet digs for sure. Thanks for posting and HH, Dave.

Those ate some incredible finds! That barber really is a rare one! I would have been happy with the fatty alone, or a shield nickel since I've never found one. Looks like the Nox is really working for you, congrats!
