Short hunt with a couple finds

    Hey Diggers,
I tried a new spot about 1 mile from my house. It's a section of woods that looked promising. A lot of dense underbrush made swinging the coil difficult but I was able to spend about 45 minutes before I had to get back to the house. First signal was scratchy but only 3 inches deep. Turned out to be a cuff-sized tombac button with a great design on it. I've been digging lots of tombacs lately for some reason. I don't mind though since they are my favorite buttons to find! Not many high tones but I did find 3 musket balls in addition to the button. I'll probably go back when I have more time and see if I can find any signs of habitation or military activity.
