I just received my medieval silver coin from David Rose. I had to take it out of the coin flip in order to hold a hammered coin from the Middle Ages in my hand. It is so incredibly thin and beautiful. This coin is a Pfenning that dates between 1290 - 1296 from Duke Otto III & Bishop Heinrich II von Rotteneck of Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany. David found this coin while metal detecting in Germany and I won it in a post here on the American Detectorist forum. Facing bust of Bishop under archway with columns / Facing busts of Bishop and Duke under pointed arches. Metcalfe 51; Emmerig 248. Silver. I would say VF to XF. Thank you again, David! Part of my family is from Germany. Perhaps one of my ancient ancestors also held this coin. I hope they didn't have the plague.Name: 79526135_10215519210436997_4382295495935000576_n.jpg
